HGV Class 1 Driver my client is an independent manufacturer and distributor of plastic and biodegradable consumables. We have a permanent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver. Nights Out (2/3 max) per week. SALARY: GBP24,000 (Based on Basic Working Week + Overtime) BENEFITS: 42.5 Hours a Week (08:00-17:00) + 20 Days Holidays (plus Bank Holidays) + Overtime (Weekdays x 1.25, Saturday x 1.5, Sundays and Bank Holidays x 2) � You will be required to deliver the portfolio of company products to retail clients, RDCs, sporting venues and other destinations, across the UK, meeting dedicated delivery slots on a daily basis. � Your main duties will involve driving a Class 1 vehicle but you may be expected to be able to drive Class 2 (up to 18 tonnes) when needed. � Although core hours are 8am until 5pm, Monday to Friday, a driver can start as early as 4am. At times this can mean an early finish once core hours are worked or if work permits, overtime may be required. Flexibility is required. � 2/3 Nights out a week are required when delivering to Scotland and North West (and possible others if on other runs). A night out allowance will be paid. � You will also be required to carry out warehouse duties (pick and pack) when not out on the road and once returned to the yard, helping to load and unload vehicles. � Uniform will be provided.
