Our client is based in Rochester are looking for 7.5T ROAD SWEEPER Drivers with experience in this role. Your main duties will include: Driving and operating the machine safely round the required areas and to the required discharge point. Report any defects. Empty and wash out sweeper. Ensure that the areas on the schedule are cleaned in accordance with agreed routes. To comply with safe workings practices and adhere to the Clients Safety Policy. Carrying out manual sweeping where areas are not accessible for the sweeping machine, litter picking and collection of other materials as required. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES: Experience driving a scarab is Essential Hold category C1 on your driving licence Valid Digi card and CPC Ability to drive a mechanical sweeper in a pedestrian area Have the Ability to undertake assessment of the risks when manoeuvring vehicles. Take appropriate action to ensure the safety of other staff members and the public High degree of awareness needed of the dangers associated with working continually in close proximity to the highway. Good awareness of surroundings, in particular pedestrians and other vehicles. Ability to work on own initiative and work effectively as part of a team.
