HRGO Driving are recruiting on behalf of our well-established, logistics company. Job Title - Traffic Clerk Location- Northampton Salary - GBP19,000 Job Purpose Reporting to the Transport Shift Manager you will be responsible for managing the drivers load status, communicating any delivery or collection issues, and ensuring that the transport operation meets its service levels. Job tasks � Ensure that the operation works to and achieves the daily transport plan, highlighting delays and issues to the planning department through communication with drivers and use of tracking systems. � Escalating and resolving day-to-day operational issues. Supporting the Transport Shift Supervisor in root cause analysis of operational issues. � Status control of all vehicles and subcontract vehicles involved in achieving the transport plan. � Advise contracts of any issues with deliveries -late - short etc. � Support the Transport Operators in producing and maintain Key Performance Indicators (Kpis). Monitor and take action if the Kpis show a variance to the agreed service level agreements � Work with the Transport Operators to ensure all customers / contracts are kept informed of any issues and their ongoing resolution � Ensure that information on the transport system is updated live with accurate and reliable data � Ensuring all office administration is completed in an accurate and timely manner. � Provide flexible cover to support the department including deputise for other members of the transport team as required. � Daily Briefing and De -Briefing of drivers. � Monitor and update visual boards � Maintaining POD control and investigating any outstanding PODs to root cause. � Timely scanning of all PODs Qualifications & Experience Essential � Minimum of 2 years Transport Office experience � IT literate (Excel, Word, E-mail) � Previous experience using a transport management system � Good basic level of education in Maths and English � Excellent communication skills � Good attention to detail Desirable � Familiarity with YLUK Logistics transport management system (VISION) If you think this job suits you please send your CV to gemma.stubbs@hrgo.co.uk or call 01604239066 for more information.
