HRGO Driving have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Supervisor in Daventry. My client is looking for an eager, experienced professional to join their team to work in a busy environment. Primary Accountabilities - � Provide effective support, management and control of Transport Function to ensure company objectives are met � Oversee the effective planning of available labour & resource to deliver operational requirements in a timely manner whilst meeting or exceeding agreed KPIs � Initiate & implement new initiatives to drive both stringent cost control & continuous improvement to both operational & service processes � Ensure scheduling compliance meets current vehicle & tachograph legislation (both EU driver hours & working time directive) � Ensure drivers are fully pre & de-briefed in regard to their duties � Liaise when required with agency or sub-contractors to ensure service levels are maintained � Ensure the Transport Database, driver rota & all daily reports are updated when required � React quickly to all customer requests � Maintain high standards of customer service by liaising directly with retail teams � Identify specific training & development requirements for the driving team & liaise with driver trainers/HR to ensure solutions in place � Drive colleague engagement through regular team meetings and/or driver forums or listening groups, resulting in the delivery of a motivated & engaged team � Commit to inspiring & enforcing a positive Health & Safety ethic within the team, ensuring the correct resources for a safe working environment are made available � Behavioural Management for team. Manage behaviours and using the company Disciplinary Procedures when required For the role - � You will need experience with EU Driver Hours & WTD � You must have previous experience working within the transport environment � Knowledge of health & safety is needed � Excellent communication skills are needed � Transport Manager CPC is desired The role is for a Transport Supervisor to work the shift pattern Sun - Weds 07:00 - 19:00 to start immediately.
